DICE has promised a onslaught of DLC for Bad Company 2. One Launch Day, March 2nd, The first set of DLC will be available for download. This includes two new maps, Nelson Bay (Rush Game Mode) and Laguna Alta (Conquest Game Mode). This section will house all available Downloadable Content for Bad Company 2.
Day 1 DLC (Free to Everyone)
Nelson Bay (Squad Rush)
Description: Winter has hit hard. The river has frozen allowing heavy equipment and personnel to operate throughout the sector. However, the extreme weather and surrounding woods make it unlikely that any assault will consist of heavy armor. Satellite reconnaissance indicates Russian Special Forces and airborne units have been pulled away from South America and are gathering on mass. A nighttime assault is eminent. Nelson Bay harbors an underground U.S submarine base that will be defended at all cost.
Laguna Alta (Conquest)
Description: Several days ago a large Russian counter attack overran U.S. Camp “Christopher” and destroyed a supply train carrying vital equipment. U.S Forces are mustering to recapture the area. They are trying to establish a buffer zone near the woodlands so their Battle Group can move unimpeded across the bridge connecting the opposing high ground. Intelligence reports and Recon patrols have exposed a large number of Russian troops and IFVs that have reinforced the camp since the attack occurred.
Late March DLC
(Maps are free but camouflaged spec available only with the Dr. Pepper Promotion)
Later on in March, there will be 2 new game-modes added to existing maps. Arica Harbor will get a new “Conquest” Game Mode, and Laguna Presa will get a “Rush” Game Mode.
There also will be a Specialization Upgrade for each class. The Specialization upgrade’s are as follows:
- Assault: Unique camouflaged M16A2 and matching camo’s.
- Engineer: Unique camouflaged UMP-45 and matching camo’s.
- Medic: Unique camouflaged MG3 and matching camo’s
- Recon: Unique Camouflaged M95 and matching camo’s

Yes, comparision with (or a link to) the default skins would be much appreciated. I’m having trouble distinguishing the difference between these and what I recall from the demo.

they are the same outfits, just without camo. i dont see a difference with the ghillies though.
it’s harder to tell the difference between the russian camos, however the american camo on the new dlc has the dark vest & headgear, and the green camo is more drab(not bright green like the original). the russian medic now has a green cap, and i think the russian camo is not bright green anymore either.
someone mentioned Dr. Pepper for unlock codes for dlc. that’s not for Bad Company 2. that’s for Battlefield Heroes.

Yesterday, the supposedly exclusive “Squad Rush” mode was entered by the leader of our Squad.
Only the leader had the code, yet we all played.

That is what it supposed to do, I got my code thru gamestop email. It says you can invite your friends to a game of squad rush mode if they don’t have it activated. But they can’t select that game mode. It’s not an issue or glitch.
